13 months

Henry has really changed a lot over the past six weeks or so. He's gone from tentative walking to full-on marching and charging up and down steps, hills and ramps. He says "Up," "Uh-oh," and "Yes"...usually more or less in context. He also started saying Da Da on Father's day, which was really cute. Of course when he sees Clay he generally says "Uh-oh," but that's ok. He's doing much better with his finger foods and is slowly but surely starting to eat more grown-up foods. We're also about to have to give up the bedtime bottle-- scary!

His first round of swimming lessons were a big success and we're so proud of him for being brave and a good sport. He's always carrying around either a bottle of some sort (sunscreen, lotion, shampoo, etc) or else a bucket and shovel. He also loves to play behind the curtains. He got a fleet of ride-on toys for his birthday and he loves every one of them and is always pushing them all over the house. He and Maggie fight like an old married couple over socks, sticks, cardboard or whatever else they get their hands (paws) on. Henry will also sometimes pet her which is just about the cutest thing ever...

Happy Friday!

Henry was out of school this past week, and we took the opportunity to work on eating finger foods. He had gotten pretty good about eating different textures with a spoon, but was being a little stubborn about picking food up and feeding himself (except for Wheat Thins. He's good with Wheat Thins).
Anyway, so we spent a lot of the week in the high chair (or under the high chair):

By the end of day 1 he would put one or two things in his mouth...

He also loves sitting in things these days:

They are cute:

When the fishing pole didn't work he just climbed right in and picked them up with his hands:

He's not allowed to to go into Maggie's pen and play with her water bowl, so he likes to get as close as he can and peer in:

Back in the highchair. Touchdown!

Decided he likes bananas:

Seems interested in the pool, which is good...we start swimming lessons next week!

Decided peas were ok, just for one meal:

Henry loves to wave now...he'll even do it if you ask him to:

Have a great weekend!
