Holi-daze, part 1

Daze is just about the only way to describe us as we wrapped up the holidays this year!  We had such a great time visiting family all over the place, and then we were worn out and happy to be back home. Just the way Christmas should be, I suppose.

Just before things got crazy we had a quick visit from Uncle Lawson and Papa Gene. Here is Lawson entertaining the troops with a little concert:

I don't know if ya'll have heard of a guy named Johnny Football or not, but he apparently plays for aTm and Clay likes him a lot. He won some fancy award...

Ever wonder who buys the singing animals? Must be parents of toddlers. Henry was riveted!

A massive Target run:

Proof that we got our tree up!

Henry and I made a quick trip to Dallas, where we got to meet Levi!

And Bevo:

Before leaving for Lousisiana we had our own little Christmas morning here in Austin:

Maggie stayed with Mamie and Papa Gene for Christmas, and got to make a quick trip to Tulsa to visit Cousin Lit:

Meanwhile Henry had a stopover in Lafayette, LA, where he studied ancient forms of communication:

We finally made it to Ponchatoula, where there were all kinds of fun things including pianos:

Puppies:

Porches:

And traditional Poche road Christmas trees. This one brightened up our bathroom, so Cousin Wil dubbed it our "Toilet tree":

Christmas morning, at last:

Cousin Annabelle got this awesome huge inflatable ball, and Henry LOVED it:

Meanwhile, back in Dallas, Mamie made Maggie wait before checking out her stocking:

Fortunately the 4-wheeler was not a gift, and it stayed behind in Ponchatoula:

Hanging out with Paw Paw:

More gift opening:

Heading off down the tracks:

Visiting Ol' Hardhide:

And a few more photos of our fabulous hosts and their puppies!
